The Location The Riverfront Cultural Society is located along the levee walk in New Haven, Missouri at 1108 Olive Street, in the historic Mercantile building. Built by the Grannemann family in 1872, it served for many years as a general merchandise store and retains much of the character of that by-gone era. Steamboats were able to pull practically right up to the door to bring shoppers and deliver goods. A ferry regularly brought customers across the Missouri river from Treloar and other rural communities to shop at the well known store. The Organization RCS is a not-for-profit organization founded in the fall of 2005 and operates completely by an all volunteer staff. The purpose of the organization is to provide a place for folks to gather, as a visitor or a regular patron, to hear great music and enjoy a variety of cultural activities related to the arts. You can sign up for the mailing list to receive event schedules by clicking on Contact Us. The Riverfront Cultural Society does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, or religion.
